Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2026 launches with international carnival parade
The Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2026 opened in Nha Trang on 17 July with speeches by Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan and Vice President Võ Thị Ánh Xuân, who highlighted Vietnam’s maritime heritage, the blue‑economy agenda and the goal of making the province a global tourism hub. The festival’s theme “Colors of the ocean – reaching international projection” was followed by a night‑time carnival parade on 18 July under the slogan “Symphony of the Blue Sea – Convergence of Colors.”
The parade featured more than 1,200 performers—including singers, dancers, beauty queens and international art troupes—and ten highly decorated floats portraying marine‑related values such as the pearl‑sea, sustainable tourism and green energy. Vintage cars, LED‑lit rollerskates and elaborate lighting turned Tran Phu Street into a vibrant open‑air stage. Organisers expect the three‑day event, which includes over 40 cultural, sports and tourism activities, to draw 600 000–800 000 domestic and foreign visitors and to promote Vietnam’s maritime culture and economic development on the world stage.
