Vietnam’s search teams have continued to uncover the remains of soldiers who fell during the 1968 Spring Offensive. In Da Nang’s Hang Da Sập cave, officials reported that nine war‑dead were recovered between 13 July and 25 July 2026, and a new area showing possible additional remains has been cordoned off for further excavation.

In Ho Chi Minh City, the National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man led a high‑level delegation to Le Thi Rieng Park on 26 July 2026. The officials laid flowers and incense at the memorials, inspected the ongoing exhumation work, and participated in a live‑broadcast ceremony marking the 79th anniversary of Vietnam’s Veterans’ Day.
