Vietnam develops cultural industries and creative economy

Vietnam is actively developing its cultural industries and creative economy as new drivers for national growth. Guided by Politburo Resolution No. 80-NQ/TW and National Assembly Resolution No. 28/2026/QH16, the country aims to transform cultural values into economic resources through digital transformation and social mobilization.

A key focus of this development is the creation of a comprehensive ecosystem that connects creators, human resource training, intellectual property, and markets. Under this framework, intellectual property is being repositioned as a quantifiable asset that can be used for capital contribution, collateral, or generating revenue through licensing and franchising.

To address the shortage of specialized management talent, educational institutions are evolving. Foreign Trade University has introduced a Bachelor of Creative Business and Cultural Industries, while the Vietnam-Japan School of Business and Creativity is integrating business management, technology, and digital operations into its curriculum to train professionals capable of navigating the global market.
