Vietnam Drug Companies Fined for Essential Medicine Price Declaration Violations

The Vietnam Drug Administration imposed administrative fines of 25 million VND on each of four pharmaceutical companies for failing to declare or incorrectly declaring the prices of essential medicines, as required by Decree No. 87/2024 amended by Decree No. 114/2026.

Nam Ha Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company was penalised for not declaring the price of the essential drug Pelovime. Domesco Import‑Export Medical Company faced fines for not declaring or misdeclaring six essential medicines, including Ciprofloxacin, Dosulvon, Amoxicillin, Cefalexin, Dochicin and Ofloxacin. Minh Dan Pharmaceutical was fined for misdeclaring Cotrimoxazol, while Agimexpharm Pharmaceutical was penalised for not declaring six other essential medicines such as Agifamcin and Agi‑cotrim. The enforcement aims to increase price‑transparency, protect patients’ rights and promote fair competition in the pharmaceutical market.
