Vietnam educational institutions launch 2026-2027 academic year

Educational institutions in Vietnam have commenced the 2026-2027 academic year with a focus on professional development and student support.

In Lao Cai, the Department of Health partnered with Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy to launch postgraduate training programs. The initiative aims to enhance the quality of the local medical workforce. For the new academic year, 67 students have enrolled in specialized training, including Level I specialties in Internal Medicine, Diagnostic Imaging, and Nursing, as well as Level II specialty training in Internal Medicine.

Meanwhile, Cuu Long University welcomed 3,645 new regular students for its 27th intake. To support academic excellence and diversity, the university awarded over 9 billion VND in scholarships and rewards. This included 1.1 billion VND for Khmer ethnic minority students and 1.8 billion VND for international students from Laos, Cambodia, and Sri Lanka. The university reported a 97% post-graduation employment rate and emphasized a commitment to digital transformation and international integration.
