Vietnam Electricity ensures stable power supply during National Day holiday

Vietnam Electricity (EVN) and its subsidiaries, including EVNGENCO3, implemented comprehensive measures to ensure a stable and safe electricity supply during the National Day holiday from August 29 to September 2, 2026.

EVN issued directives requiring close coordination with the National Load Dispatch Centre (NSMO) to manage power sources and the grid effectively. The group prioritized electricity for political and cultural activities and prohibited planned power outages during the holiday period, except for emergency repairs. Units were instructed to maintain 24/7 standby shifts at key substations and ensure readiness of materials and equipment.

EVNGENCO3 reported a total electricity output of 336.44 million kWh during the holiday period, with a peak capacity of 3,904 MW recorded on August 30. The company maintained continuous maintenance and repair schedules at several plants, including Phu My 2 and Mong Duong, while ensuring coal inventories and reservoir operations met safety and demand requirements.
