Vietnam Electricity (EVN) records record revenue, subsidiary fined over VND9 bn tax penalty

The audited 2025 financial report of Vietnam Electricity (EVN) shows net revenue of 645.658 trillion VND, surpassing state oil and gas group Petrovietnam and making EVN the company with the highest revenue in Vietnam for two consecutive years. The combined revenue of EVN and Petrovietnam accounts for about 7 % of the country's GDP.

EVN’s subsidiary, EVNGENCO3, received a tax decision imposing a fine of more than VND2.4 trillion and a late‑payment surcharge of about VND6.9 trillion, totaling over VND9 bn. The subsidiary reported a 2025 revenue target of VND47.860 trillion and pre‑tax profit target of VND2.246 trillion, achieving about 41.6 % of the revenue goal and 54.9 % of the profit goal by May.
