Vietnam emphasizes data transparency for business capital access
At the CRIF Forum Vietnam 2026, held on August 27, officials and experts emphasized that data transparency is essential for businesses seeking to attract capital and expand market reach in the digital economy.
Nguyen Xuan Tho, Deputy Director of the Department of Private Enterprise and Collective Economic Development under the Ministry of Finance, stated that reliable data serves as a critical measure of corporate credibility. This credibility directly impacts a company's ability to access funding and integrate into global value chains.
The Vietnamese government is currently implementing the National Data Strategy for the 2026-2030 period. This includes projects to build enterprise databases and support digital transformation for small and medium-sized enterprises. The goal is to create a unified, transparent, and secure data ecosystem to improve governance and the investment environment.
Efforts are underway to upgrade the National Business Registration Database to ensure seamless integration and information sharing across central and local government agencies, ministries, and sectors. This connectivity aims to increase information reliability while reducing overlapping management and saving resources for both the state and the business community.
