Vietnam enhances fire prevention and rescue infrastructure
Authorities in Vietnam are intensifying efforts to strengthen fire prevention and rescue infrastructure to address increasing risks of fire and explosions. In Phu Tho province, a new firefighting and rescue team has been deployed to the Mai Chau area. This unit is part of a larger network of 16 teams established under a provincial planning framework for 2021–2030, aimed at bringing professional responders closer to high-risk and remote mountainous regions.
In light of recent fires in high-rise apartments, police have issued safety warnings regarding domestic hazards. Data indicates a rise in complex fire incidents, prompting recommendations for residents to regularly maintain electrical systems and avoid overloading sockets. Specific warnings were issued regarding the use of heat-generating devices and the dangers of charging electric vehicles or batteries overnight near flammable materials such as mattresses or curtains.
