Vietnam establishes global network to develop AI workforce
Vietnam is intensifying efforts to develop a high-quality artificial intelligence (AI) workforce by leveraging global expertise. In alignment with the Political Bureau's Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW regarding science, technology, and national digital transformation, the Ministry of Science and Technology has established a global network of Vietnamese AI experts under Decision No. 3335/QD-BKHCN.
This network serves as an open and voluntary platform designed to connect Vietnamese scientists, entrepreneurs, and experts both domestically and abroad, as well as international specialists interested in contributing to the country's AI sector. The initiative aims to foster strong research teams, promote the commercialization of technology, and provide expert advice for national AI policies and projects.
Key focus areas for the development of strategic AI models and products include healthcare, education, smart cities, cybersecurity, and national data. Minister of Science and Technology Vu Hai Quan emphasized the importance of integrating AI into schools and businesses, noting that the contributions of global Vietnamese experts are essential for substantive and effective AI development.
