Vietnam expands AI and data-driven tools in media communications

The Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) hosted an AI training program for its network of young media ambassadors on July 30, teaching participants how to apply artificial‑intelligence tools to tasks such as idea generation, content writing, format conversion and visual design. VNPT officials emphasised that AI serves as a "smart assistant" that automates repetitive work while leaving creative decisions to humans.

At the same time, Vietnam Television’s current‑affairs show "Chính phủ kiến tạo phát triển" has adopted a data‑journalism approach, using statistical information to craft more persuasive and relatable policy stories. Producers highlighted the extensive behind‑the‑scenes effort to design graphics, set layouts and narrative structures that translate macro‑economic figures into everyday examples for viewers.

Both initiatives illustrate a broader shift in Vietnam’s public communication sector toward integrating artificial‑intelligence and data analytics to improve efficiency, audience engagement and the clarity of policy reporting.
