Vietnam faces flooding and record high tides
Vietnam is experiencing significant flooding and high tide events. In Dong Nai province, the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting reports that water levels at the Ta Lai station are fluctuating at Alarm Level 2. This poses a risk of flooding to low-lying areas in Dak Lua, Nam Cat Tien, Ta Lai, Thanh Son, and Phu Vinh.
Simultaneously, Ho Chi Minh City is facing severe high tides that have exceeded Alarm Level 3. Water levels at the Thu Dau Mot station have surpassed the historic peak recorded in 2025. The flooding has submerged numerous streets, causing traffic difficulties, stalling vehicles, and damaging household electronics and local businesses.
