Vietnam Fashion Week Showcases Teen Model Laisha and 85‑Year‑Old Professor Thái Kim Lan

Fourteen‑year‑old Laisha Dwi Aimee Mehrudeen, winner of Teen Model Vietnam 2025, walked the runway for designer Nguyễn Minh Tuấn at Vietnam International Fashion Week 2026. She modeled the haute‑couture "Lightborne" collection and appeared on the event’s red carpet in a white couture piece, prompting praise for her confidence and professionalism despite her age. Laisha, of Australian‑Indonesian descent and educated at an international school in Ho Chi Minh City, has previously presented in Paris, Seoul, Beijing, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur.

Eighty‑five‑year‑old professor and cultural scholar Thái Kim Lan became the first senior model for the "Mùa hè đẹp nhất" (Serenade of Summer) show by designers Vũ Ngọc Tú and Đinh Trường Tùng. The collection, inspired by Hue’s Lăng Cô Bay, uses natural fabrics and summer‑tone colors to celebrate the region’s heritage. The show ran from 3‑7 July at a resort in Lăng Cô, aiming to intertwine fashion with cultural storytelling.
