Vietnam Finds No Violations in Initial E10 Biofuel Gasoline Quality Inspections

Vietnam's Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST) launched Plan 3927 to inspect the quality of E10 biofuel gasoline. Deputy Chair of the National Standard Measurement and Quality Committee, Trần Đăng Khoa, reported that early checks of 36 fuel stations and blending facilities in the provinces of Nghệ An, Thái Nguyên and Tuyên Quang found no breaches of measurement rules or fuel‑quality standards.

The inspections, coordinated with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, focused on compliance with national measurement regulations and on sampling, testing and evaluating fuel against the revised technical standard QCVN 01:2022/BKHCN (amended by 2026). The new standard clarifies ethanol content, oxygen levels and flow‑point criteria for E10, providing a legal basis for producers, importers and distributors to market the biofuel blend. No violations were identified, and the agencies plan to continue synchronized monitoring across the country.
