Vietnam Food Administration orders Shopee to remove 11 health supplements

The Vietnam Food Administration, under the Ministry of Health, has ordered the e-commerce platform Shopee to immediately stop selling and remove 11 health supplement products from its listings. The directive follows investigations into reports of counterfeit, smuggled, and hand-carried goods.

Authorities identified that these 11 products were using registration numbers that do not match the official records issued by the agency. Many of the affected items belong to the OstroVit brand, including products such as Creatine, Magnesium citrate, Omega 3 D3 + K2, and Vitamin D3 4000 + K2. For instance, registration number 1648/2021/ĐKSP was being used for OstroVit products despite being officially assigned to Elasten products.

In addition to the platform restrictions, the Hanoi Department of Health has been requested to inspect Siêu thị Ba Lan and the TRON transport company regarding allegations of smuggling and illegal trade. Authorities have emphasized that if criminal violations are discovered, the cases will be referred to the police for further action.
