Vietnam Football Federation marks historic achievements in ninth term

The ninth term (2022–2026) of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), led by President Tran Quoc Tuan, has marked significant milestones for Vietnamese football across multiple disciplines.

In futsal, the national teams have strengthened their continental standing. Under coach Diego Giustozzi, the men's team has focused on rejuvenating the squad to target the 2028 Futsal World Cup, achieving success such as reaching the quarterfinals of the AFC Futsal Asian Cup and winning the runner-up spot at the Continental Championship. The women's futsal team has also shown progress toward competing at an Asian level.

For the broader football landscape, the VFF era has seen several historic firsts, including the men's national team successfully defending its Southeast Asian championship title in 2024 and 2026, the women's national team competing in the World Cup, and the U-17 men's team securing a World Cup berth.
