Vietnam fuel prices increase across gasoline and diesel

Vietnam's Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance have announced a simultaneous increase in domestic fuel prices, effective from 15:00 on September 17, 2026.

Under the new regulations, the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund will be utilized to manage the price adjustments. The fund usage is set at 1,250 VND/liter for bio-gasoline, 2,000 VND/liter for diesel, and 1,250 VND/kg for fuel oil (mazut). No new contributions will be made to the fund during this period.

Specific price adjustments include: - E5 RON92 gasoline: maximum price of 25,139 VND/liter (up 1,395 VND/liter). - E10 RON95-III gasoline: maximum price of 25,636 VND/liter (up 1,397 VND/liter). - Diesel: maximum price of 29,945 VND/liter (up 1,460 VND/liter). - Fuel oil (mazut): maximum price of 19,196 VND/kg (up 1,039 VND/kg).

The Ministry of Industry and Trade noted that global market volatility, including conflicts in the Middle East and the Russia-Ukraine war, has influenced these trends. Authorities will continue to monitor the market and supervise fuel suppliers to ensure adequate supply and compliance with regulations.
