Vietnam gold prices climb sharply in early July 2026

Domestic gold prices in Vietnam rose sharply during the week of 27 July 2026. The Saigon Gold Joint‑Stock Company (SJC) listed the gold‑bar (SJC) price at 137.5‑141.5 million VND per tael (buy‑sell) and the gold‑ring price within a 3‑4 million VND spread. Investors who bought SJC gold at the start of the week faced losses of roughly 9.7‑10 million VND per tael.

Internationally, spot gold jumped to about $4,080‑$4,100 per ounce, with the Kitco price reaching roughly $4,100/ounce – a rise of $30‑$35 on the day. The rise was supported by a slowdown in US‑Iran hostilities, a 5 % drop in oil prices, and expectations that the US Federal Reserve will keep rates high.

Vietnam’s central bank kept the official USD exchange rate steady at 25,283 VND per US $, while the market watched upcoming policy decisions from the Fed, the Bank of England and the Bank of Japan. The broader price rally marked the fifth consecutive session of gains for Vietnamese gold.
