Vietnam government issues directives for flood and landslide response

The Vietnamese government has issued urgent directives to manage natural disaster risks and ensure public safety. Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung signed official telegrams instructing ministries and local authorities to proactively respond to heavy rains, flash floods, and landslides, particularly in the Northern and North Central regions.

Authorities have been ordered to monitor weather developments closely, provide timely warnings to citizens, and organize the evacuation of residents from high-risk areas prone to flooding and landslides. Efforts are also focused on rapidly repairing damaged transportation routes and ensuring the safety of vessels operating on rivers and seas.

Additionally, the government has issued directives to maintain traffic order and safety during the upcoming September 2nd holiday period and the peak month for students returning to school.
