Vietnam government reviews draft amended Land Law
Vietnamese Deputy Prime Ministers Hồ Quốc Dũng, Nguyễn Văn Thắng, and Lê Tiến Châu chaired a meeting to review and finalize the draft amended Land Law. The session focused on resolving existing obstacles and ensuring the new legislation is consistent and synchronized with other related laws to improve land management and usage efficiency.
During the meeting, various ministries—including Natural Resources and Environment, Construction, Justice, Finance, Home Affairs, and Education and Training—reported on necessary revisions. Deputy Prime Minister Lê Tiến Châu emphasized the need to maintain specific, superior mechanisms and policies previously enacted by the National Assembly, suggesting that in cases of conflicting regulations, preferential or specific mechanisms should take priority to avoid limiting effectiveness.
Deputy Prime Minister Nguyễn Văn Thắng noted that regulations regarding land management and use following restructuring and privatization should be directly included in the Land Law to enhance legal efficacy and facilitate implementation. The goal of the amendments is to institutionalize the Party's views and ensure legal uniformity across the country.
