Vietnam heavy rains trigger landslides in Tuyên Quang and limit bridge traffic in Đồng Nai

Heavy rainstorms on 5–6 June caused severe landslides in Lùng Tám commune, Tuyên Quang province, flooding homes of 22 households and damaging crops and roads. Local authorities evacuated two families, deployed over 150 staff and police, and reported initial losses exceeding 4 billion VND.

In Đồng Nai province, the temporary bridge over the Mã Đà River at Tân Lợi commune was battered by rising waters and erosion, prompting officials to restrict traffic to motorbikes only. Repairs are underway and a new permanent bridge, budgeted at more than 133 billion VND, is slated to begin construction later in June.
