Vietnam showcases heritage at festivals in Europe and Asia

An exhibition titled “Hoang Sa, Truong Sa – Mers et îles sacrées” opened on 15 June in Da Nang, displaying around 200 archival documents, maps and photographs to underline Vietnam’s historic claims over the Paracel and Spratly islands.

A Vietnam‑Japan cultural programme called “Parfum et beauté du Vietnam” was staged in Higashi‑Osaka, Japan, promoting Vietnamese identity and strengthening bilateral ties.

The “Bonjour Vietnam” festival took place in Paris, offering a varied program aimed at presenting Vietnam’s cultural heritage to an international audience.

In Hue, the photographic exhibition “L’Intersection du Vietnam” runs until 25 July, featuring 27 works by three French photographers who have long‑standing connections with Vietnam.

Additional cultural events included a heritage‑focused photography show on the historic gates of Hue and a fireworks competition at the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival featuring teams from Japan and Italy.
