Vietnam highway crash kills driver after insufficient warning distance

A collision between two trucks on the Vinh Hảo‑Phan Thiết highway in Lâm Đồng province resulted in one fatality and one injury. In a separate incident in Quảng Ngãi province, a tractor‑trailer driver ignored active rail‑crossing signals and struck a lowering gate, breaking the barrier and endangering train operations. The driver was fined 41.5 million VND and had his driving licence suspended for two months. Police emphasized strict compliance with rail‑crossing warnings to prevent damage and ensure safety.
