On September 3, 2026, the Politburo and Secretariat of Vietnam held a national conference to study and implement several new resolutions and directives. Chaired by General Secretary and President To Lam, the conference was held at the Dien Hong Meeting Hall in the National Assembly House and connected via video link to over 35,000 points across the country, involving more than 3.7 million delegates.

The conference focused on six key documents, including strategies for ideological work, the development of regional and national development spaces, and the promotion of tourism as a spearhead economic sector. A significant emphasis was placed on Resolution No. 24-NQ/TW, which aims to encourage and protect cadres who are innovative and willing to take responsibility for the common good, addressing the issue of avoiding responsibility in complex sectors.

Additionally, the conference addressed affairs concerning overseas Vietnamese, with Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung noting a shift toward viewing the diaspora as active strategic partners and resources for national development. General Secretary To Lam emphasized that the value of these documents must be reflected in practical problem-solving and tangible results for the people, rather than being treated as mere administrative procedures.
