Vietnam honors rural youth entrepreneurs and outstanding young farmers

The Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union held an awards ceremony in Ea Nuol, Dak Lak, to honor excellence in rural entrepreneurship and agriculture.

Nguyen Thi Dim, Director of the Duong Phuc Agricultural and Forestry Cooperative in Lao Cai, won first prize in the 2026 Rural Youth Entrepreneurship Project Competition. Her project, ‘Lam Thuong Meeting Point,’ aims to create a community tourism ecosystem by connecting local bamboo shoot production with Tay ethnic culture, traditional cuisine, and homestay experiences. The initiative focuses on transforming raw materials into a value chain involving local farmers, women, and artisans.

Additionally, the ceremony presented the 21st Luong Dinh Cua Award, honoring 30 outstanding young farmers selected from 94 nominees across 30 provinces. These individuals were recognized for their contributions to agricultural science, technology application, and business management, with some models achieving annual revenues of up to 100 billion VND.
