Vietnam hosts cybersecurity competitions for students
Vietnam is hosting major cybersecurity competitions aimed at developing high-quality human resources for the digital age. In Hanoi, the final round of the “Cybersecurity Student 2026” competition featured 67 teams selected from 334 domestic and international participants. Under the theme “Protecting Critical Infrastructure in the AI Era,” the event challenged students with tasks involving system attack and defense, vulnerability analysis, and incident response.
The competition is organized by the National Cybersecurity Association (NCA) with support from the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Education and Training. It aims to address the urgent need for data protection and infrastructure security amidst the rapid evolution of artificial intelligence.
In Lam Dong province, the Cybersecurity Steering Subcommittee announced the “School Digital Safety Ambassador 2026” contest. This initiative targets middle school, high school, and university students to raise awareness regarding online safety, fraud recognition, and personal data protection. Selected ambassadors will serve as key communicators to help build a healthy and safe digital environment for youth.
