Vietnam hosts major exhibitions for construction and semiconductors

Vietnam is hosting major industry exhibitions focused on construction innovation and semiconductor development.

The Vietnam Interior and Construction Exhibition (VIBE) 2026 opened at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City. The event highlights new materials designed to withstand Vietnam's specific climate challenges, such as high humidity, heavy rain, and flooding. Featured innovations include Saint-Gobain Vietnam's Takira panels, which offer high water resistance, and TEKCOM's CARB P2 standard plywood. Other participants, including Vigracera and An Cuong, presented solutions for flood resistance, fire safety, and tropical climate adaptation.

In the technology sector, the launch of SEMIEXPO VIETNAM 2026 aims to integrate the country more deeply into the global semiconductor value chain. The National Innovation Center (NIC) noted that the number of semiconductor-related businesses in Vietnam has grown from approximately 50 in 2023 to about 100 today. Major international corporations such as NVIDIA, Samsung, and Qualcomm are increasingly present in the region. The upcoming expo is intended to facilitate connections between Vietnamese enterprises and the international semiconductor ecosystem.
