Vietnam hosts patriotic concerts in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi

A national concert titled “Tổ quốc trong tim” was staged in Ho Chi Minh City on 23 August 2026 at Vạn Phúc City. Organized by music director Nguyễn Hữu Vượng, the show combined modern staging with historic songs that recount the anti‑French and anti‑American wars, featuring singers from both the north and south and special tributes to revolutionary heroes.

Earlier, on 3 August 2026, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Public Security and Defence co‑hosted the artistic program “Giai điệu Tổ quốc” at Hanoi’s Ho Gươm Theatre. The event was attended by senior officials including Vice‑President Phan Văn Giang, Foreign Minister Lê Hoài Trung and Public Security Minister Lương Tam Quang. Performances included classic Vietnamese patriotic songs, Russian pieces popular in Vietnam, and orchestral works by the Hanoi Symphony Orchestra and the Vietnam Police Cultural Ensemble, under the direction of Nguyễn Công Bẩy and conductor Trần Nhật Minh.
