Vietnam implements land pricing reforms and digital economy strategies

Vietnam is implementing several strategic shifts across its real estate, digital, and regional economic sectors. In the real estate market, experts from Savills Vietnam suggest that reforming land pricing mechanisms through Resolution 21-NQ/TW will address existing market bottlenecks. The resolution emphasizes data-driven, scientific, and transparent pricing to prevent market manipulation and reduce the gap between actual and market values. It also aims to limit land subdivision in urban areas.

Regarding the digital economy, data is increasingly viewed as a primary means of production. Following Resolution 57-NQ/TW, there is a growing emphasis on data governance to enhance competitiveness. Research indicates that synchronized data can significantly improve business decision-making speed and accuracy. Currently, 80% of surveyed Vietnamese enterprises have begun integrating AI and data into their operations.

In Vinh Long province, preliminary results from the 2026 Economic Census show significant growth. The province surveyed approximately 235,000 units, including nearly 14,000 enterprises and cooperatives. As of late 2025, active enterprises in the province increased by 6.04% compared to 2024, with FDI enterprises showing a notable upward trend.
