Vietnam Implements New Passport Forms Effective July 1, 2026

Vietnam's Ministry of Public Security issued Circular No. 69/2026/TT‑BCA, amending the 2023 regulation on passport and travel document templates. The circular introduces nine replacement forms covering applications for new passports, renewals, cancellations, loss reports and related procedures for citizens both domestically and abroad. Specific forms updated include TK01, TK01a, TK02, TK02a, TK03, TK04, TK05, TK06 and VB01, each issued alongside the circular. The new templates take effect on 1 July 2026, and the circular states that any applications submitted before that date that are still pending do not need to be re‑filed using the new forms.

The reform aims to streamline passport processing and ensure uniform documentation across all issuance channels.
