Vietnam introduces salary incentives of up to 300% for cybersecurity personnel
The Vietnamese government has issued Decree No. 329/2026/NĐ-CP, effective immediately, to establish policies for attracting and retaining specialized cybersecurity personnel. The decree aims to build a professional and modern cybersecurity force capable of effectively responding to threats in cyberspace.
To support this mission, the government has introduced a three-tier monthly salary incentive mechanism for specialized forces and talent attraction groups. The highest level of support can reach up to 300% of the current salary coefficient.
Level 1 provides support up to 100% of the current salary for personnel performing professional duties. Level 2 increases this to a maximum of 200% for those involved in strategic cybersecurity advisory, strategic technology projects, specialized professional tasks, training, or combating cyber espionage, terrorism, and cyber warfare. The policy is designed to fulfill national goals regarding digital transformation and national security.
