Vietnam issues decree for road accident victim support

The Vietnamese government has issued Decree No. 279/2025/ND-CP, which establishes specific support payment levels for victims of road traffic accidents.

The decree outlines financial assistance for accident victims, families of those who have died and are facing economic hardship, and organizations or individuals directly involved in providing emergency medical treatment or rescue services. It also covers activities aimed at promoting traffic safety to minimize damages. The new regulations are set to take effect on December 15, 2025.
