Vietnam accelerates national land database completion by September 2026
Vietnam is accelerating the development and standardization of its national land database. The Land Management Department has requested that provincial departments complete the submission of cadastral map data to the LANDINFO system by September 30, 2026.
Nationwide, approximately 48 million out of nearly 68 million land parcels have met the required standards for being “correct, sufficient, clean, and live.” The government aims to clean at least 80% of the country's land data within 2026. This process involves reviewing existing digital maps and conducting new surveys in areas where data is currently incomplete.
Hanoi is leading significant efforts through a high-intensity campaign to finalize its local land database by the same September 2026 deadline. The city has mobilized specialized task forces and coordinated with local police to integrate population data, aiming to improve administrative reform and digital transformation in land management.
