Vietnam launches 2026 work program for national drug prevention

Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra, acting as the Head of the Central Steering Committee for the National Target Program on Drug Prevention and Control through 2030, has signed Decision No. 147/QD-BCDCTMTQG. This decision establishes the 2026 work program for the committee.

The program aims to specify the duties and powers of the Central Steering Committee in accordance with previous government decisions. It identifies key tasks for the committee to monitor, urge, coordinate, and inspect throughout 2026. This framework serves as a basis for central agencies, component project managers, and local authorities to implement the program effectively.

Key objectives include ensuring unified and focused implementation, as well as providing mechanisms to report and resolve difficulties or obstacles encountered during the process. The committee will focus on directing the synchronized and efficient execution of the program according to the goals and solutions assigned by the National Assembly and the Government.
