Better Choice Awards 2026 launched with new Nation Builders category and expanded Car Choice segment

On 5 August 2026 the Better Choice Awards 2026 were officially launched at the National Innovation Center (NIC) in Hanoi. The ceremony, co‑organized by VCCorp and NIC with participation from the Department of Innovation and the Ministry of Science and Technology, introduced the theme “Innovation Beyond Borders”. Four award groups were presented: Smart Choice Awards for consumer technology, Car Choice Awards for the automotive and mobility ecosystem, Innovative Choice Awards for breakthrough user‑experience solutions, and the newly created Nation Builders Awards that honour enterprises making major contributions to national development. The Nation Builders Awards are evaluated through two parallel tracks – an expert council assessing performance across infrastructure, energy, finance, strategic technology and quality of life, and a public vote for the “Proud Vietnam” brand.

The Car Choice Awards 2026 were also expanded, now recognizing not only vehicle models but also people, events and initiatives that positively impact Vietnam’s mobility sector. More than 15 categories are grouped into Family, Trend, Style and “Imprint of the Year”, reflecting the diverse needs of Vietnamese consumers. The awards adopt a consumer‑centric philosophy of “not the best, but the most suitable”, aiming to guide buyers in a market that now includes gasoline, hybrid and electric vehicles from both established and emerging brands. The Better Choice Awards align with Party Resolution 57, which emphasizes science, technology, innovation and digital transformation as drivers of the country’s future development.
