Vietnam launches digital safety campaign for students
The ‘Not Alone’ campaign, themed ‘Connection Without Harm,’ has launched in Quang Ngai province to equip students with digital safety skills. Held at Mang Den Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities, the initiative aims to protect children from online risks such as grooming, psychological manipulation, fraud, cyberbullying, and digital abuse.
Participants are being trained to identify online threats, protect personal information, preserve digital evidence, and report dangerous accounts. The program serves as a proactive shield to help students navigate the internet safely during their studies and social interactions.
In a related context regarding student welfare, reports from Nghe An province indicate a decrease in physical school violence, dropping from 10 incidents in 2024 to two in 2025. However, authorities warn that subtle forms of conflict, such as social media bullying, isolation, and online defamation, remain significant risks that require early intervention and coordination between schools and families.
