Vietnam launches fifth “Tôi khỏe đẹp hơn” health competition

On the morning of 30 July, the Ministry of Health and the newspaper Báo Sức khỏe và Đời sống opened the fifth edition of the “Tôi khỏe đẹp hơn” (I am healthier, more beautiful) competition, supported by Herbalife Vietnam. Deputy Minister of Health Tran Văn Thuấn, who also chairs the National Medical Council, highlighted the event as a growing public‑health campaign that promotes scientific nutrition and regular exercise in line with Resolution 72‑NQ/TW, which shifts focus from treating illness to preventing it.

The competition, launched in 2022, has attracted increasing participation – from over 2 000 registrations in its first season to nearly 5 000 in recent years – and now encourages families, friends and clubs to join. Organisers plan expanded online interaction, expert consultations and stricter screening to eliminate unsafe weight‑loss methods, emphasizing sustainable, evidence‑based health habits.
