Vietnam preventive health competitions

In July 2026 Vietnam’s Ministry of Health rolled out two separate public‑health contests. On 16 July, the ministry announced a national competition for radio and television productions that showcase exemplary disease‑prevention work, timed to the 70th anniversary of Preventive Health Day. The contest, open to citizens, foreign residents, health‑sector staff and students, offers more than 300 million VND in prizes and seeks entries that highlight models, solutions and outstanding health‑worker stories, with a submission deadline of 15 September.

Two weeks later, on 30 July, the ministry and the newspaper Báo Sức khỏe và Đời sống launched the fifth edition of the “Tôi khỏe đẹp hơn” (I am healthier, more beautiful) competition, supported by Herbalife Vietnam. The event, now attracting nearly 5 000 participants, promotes scientific nutrition and regular exercise, aligning with Resolution 72‑NQ/TW’s shift toward preventive health. Organisers plan expanded online interaction, expert consultations and stricter screening to curb unsafe weight‑loss methods, emphasizing sustainable, evidence‑based health habits.
