Vietnam leaders emphasize leadership reform and legislative updates

General Secretary and President Tô Lâm has emphasized the need to enhance theoretical research and practical summaries to ensure policy does not lag behind reality. During a meeting with the Central Organizing Commission regarding the five-year review of Resolution 28-NQ/TW, he stressed that leadership methods must be modernized to be more scientific, democratic, and effective without changing the fundamental principles of the Party. He highlighted that leadership must be comprehensive but respect proper authority, ensuring that policy decisions lead to substantive results.

Separately, during the first extraordinary session of the 16th National Assembly, discussions focused on amending several key laws, including the Penal Code, the Criminal Procedure Code, and the Law on Organization of Criminal Investigation Agencies. Additionally, Deputy Prime Minister Phạm Gia Túc has directed officials to investigate the causes and responsibilities regarding the VN34 flight incident involving Vietnam Airlines.
