Vietnam pork prices slip modestly in northern provinces

Live pig (heo hơi) prices across Vietnam showed a slight decline on July 21‑22, 2026, with the most noticeable drops in the northern region. In the north, provinces such as Lai Châu and Sơn La lowered prices by 1,000 VND per kilogram to 65,000 VND/kg, while Thái Nguyên fell to 66,000 VND/kg, matching many neighboring provinces (Tuyên Quang, Cao Bằng, Lạng Sơn, Quảng Ninh, Bắc Ninh, Hải Phòng, Ninh Bình, Lào Cai, Điện Biên, Phú Thọ). Hanoi and Hưng Yên kept the highest northern price at 67,000 VND/kg.

In the central and southern regions, prices remained stable, ranging from 62,000–65,000 VND/kg in the centre and 62,000–63,000 VND/kg in the south. Notable provincial levels included 65,000 VND/kg in Thanh Hóa and Nghệ An, 62,000 VND/kg in Khánh Hòa, and 63,000 VND/kg in Ho Chi Minh City, Đồng Nai, Tây Ninh, Vĩnh Long and Cần Thơ. Retail pork cuts at supermarkets also reflected minor adjustments, with average meat prices ranging from about 142,000 VND/kg for ground pork to roughly 200,000 VND/kg for higher‑grade cuts.
