Vietnam military teams recover war martyr remains in Tuyen Quang and Quang Tri

Search teams in Vietnam continue efforts to locate and recover the remains of war martyrs. In Tuyen Quang province, a national steering committee led by Deputy Minister of National Defence Nguyen Van Gau inspected search operations at High Point 685 in Thanh Thuy commune. Personnel face difficult terrain, including sharp limestone slopes and the risk of unexploded ordnance, often relying on veteran testimonies to identify potential burial sites.

In Quang Tri province, military units recovered three sets of remains at two separate locations. One collective grave, believed to have been destroyed by bombing, was discovered during construction work at an Agribank branch near the Quang Tri Citadel. The site yielded various military artifacts, including ammunition boxes and backpacks. Additionally, another set of remains was recovered at a depth of approximately 1.2 meters in Dan Hoa commune.
