Vietnam universities announce 2026 admission benchmark scores

Starting August 9, 2026, numerous universities across Vietnam began announcing their official admission benchmark scores for the first round of enrollment. The results show a significant differentiation between academic disciplines, with high demand driving scores up in technology, economics, and law sectors.

Notable highlights include the University of Information Technology (UIT) at VNU-HCM, where the Artificial Intelligence major achieved an absolute score of 100/100 (equivalent to 30/30) under its comprehensive evaluation method. Similarly, the Hanoi University of Science and Technology reported its highest benchmark at 29.54 points for its advanced Data Science and Artificial Intelligence program.

In the economic sector, the National Economics University announced scores ranging from 23.48 to 28.84, with Auditing requiring the highest score of 28.84. Other institutions, such as the Academy of Banking and various military academies, have also released their results, showing competitive benchmarks in fields like International Business and Logistics.

Following the announcement, students must confirm their enrollment online via the Ministry of Education and Training's system no later than 17:00 on August 21. Failure to complete this step will result in the forfeiture of the admission result.
