Vietnam Ministry of Public Security proposes benefits for retired officers
The Ministry of Public Security is seeking public feedback on a draft decree regarding benefits for retired People's Public Security officers. The proposed regulations cover vacation allowances, medical care for critical illnesses, information services, and funeral support.
Key provisions include vacation allowances equal to those of active-duty officers of the same rank, to be paid annually in the first quarter. For retired officers diagnosed with critical illnesses, the draft proposes a quarterly support payment equivalent to twice the base salary. Additionally, retired officers receiving inpatient treatment will be entitled to medical meal allowances.
The decree also outlines protocols for funeral support and information services to ensure dignity and care for former officers after they complete their service.
