Vietnam mobile phone and component exports rise 18.6%

Vietnam's exports of mobile phones and components saw significant growth in July 2026, reaching over $6.8 billion. This represents a 27.8% increase from the previous month and a 22.16% increase compared to the same period in 2025. For the first seven months of the year, total export turnover for this sector reached $38.49 billion, an 18.6% year-on-year increase.

China remains the largest export market, with seven-month turnover reaching $8.15 billion, up 24.29% from last year. This has increased China's share of total exports from 20.2% to 21.17%. The United States follows as the second-largest market with $7.12 billion in turnover, a 10.07% increase, though its market share decreased from 19.92% to 18.48% due to slower growth relative to the industry average.

Asian markets are emerging as major growth drivers. South Korea recorded a substantial increase, with seven-month turnover rising 69.28% to $3.99 billion, increasing its market share from 7.25% to 10.35%. Japan also showed strong performance, with turnover reaching $1.65 billion over the seven-month period, marking a 58.95% increase.
