Vietnam National Assembly President to visit South Korea and Mongolia
Tran Thanh Man, President of the National Assembly of Vietnam, will conduct official visits to South Korea and Mongolia from September 6 to 11, 2026. The visits follow invitations from South Korean National Assembly Speaker Cho Jeong Sik and Mongolian Parliament Chairman Sandag Byambatsogt.
In South Korea, the visit aims to strengthen the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. South Korea is a major economic partner for Vietnam, serving as the second-largest foreign investor and second-largest source of tourists. Bilateral trade reached $89.5 billion in 2025.
The visit to Mongolia follows the recent elevation of ties to a Comprehensive Partnership. This trip marks a significant step in deepening political trust and practical cooperation between the two nations, which have maintained diplomatic relations since 1954.
