National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man has concluded a high-level diplomatic tour involving South Korea and Mongolia, focusing on strengthening strategic and economic ties.

In South Korea, Chairman Man met with Prime Minister Han Seong Sook and National Assembly Speaker Cho Jeong Sik. Discussions centered on elevating the bilateral relationship toward a strategic high-tech and innovation partnership. Both nations aim to increase bilateral trade to 100 billion USD by 2026 and 150 billion USD by 2030. The visit included meetings with major conglomerates such as Samsung, SK Group, LG Innotek, and Lotte Group to encourage investment in semiconductors, artificial intelligence, and clean energy.

Following the South Korean visit, the delegation traveled to Mongolia. Chairman Man met with Mongolian officials and the Vietnamese community in Ulaanbaatar. During the visit, he toured the Ho Chi Minh School (School No. 14), a symbol of Vietnam-Mongolia friendship, where he donated 10,000 USD for educational equipment. Economic discussions with Mongolia highlighted the potential for increased connectivity via air and rail to boost trade, which reached 155 million USD in 2025.
