Vietnam National Assembly concludes first extraordinary session

The National Assembly of Vietnam has concluded its first extraordinary session of the 16th Legislature. During the 17-day session, the Assembly passed 15 laws and 6 regulatory resolutions, while providing initial opinions on 7 additional draft laws. These legislative actions aim to resolve practical difficulties, improve institutional frameworks, decentralize authority, and reduce administrative procedures to facilitate development for citizens and businesses.

In addition to legislative work, the Assembly approved 7 strategic resolutions focused on infrastructure connectivity, energy security, urban development, and resource efficiency to support national growth targets. The session also included personnel work within the Assembly's jurisdiction.

In a subsequent meeting of the National Assembly Standing Committee, officials reviewed reports on citizen petitions and social welfare. The committee discussed administrative reforms, digital transformation, and the identification of fallen soldiers' remains. Public sentiment expressed support for the government's socio-economic management, anti-corruption efforts, and the strategic importance of diplomacy in the new era.
