Vietnam provincial leaders address industrial and digital bottlenecks

Provincial authorities in Vietnam are working to resolve obstacles hindering key industrial and digital development projects. In the northern regions, leadership is focusing on accelerating major industrial zones, including the Phu Xuan and Phu Xuan 1 industrial zones, as well as the Phu Ninh industrial zone.

Key challenges identified include delays in land clearance, resettlement, and the development of essential infrastructure such as transport, electricity, and water. For instance, while significant land area has been surveyed for the Phu Xuan projects, official handover to investors remains slow due to issues with asset appraisal and compensation schemes. Similarly, the Phu Ninh industrial zone project, managed by Viglacera Phu Tho, faces hurdles regarding legal procedures and infrastructure connectivity.

In Quang Ninh, officials are reporting progress on a 100-day digital transformation campaign. Efforts have focused on cleaning party organization data and digitizing personnel records. Significant milestones include the completion of 100% of party organization data cleaning and the digitization of over 12,000 personnel files, ahead of schedule. However, challenges remain regarding the large volume of member records requiring updates and synchronization.
