Vietnam orders uninterrupted fuel supply for National Day

The Department of Domestic Market Management, under Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade, has issued directives to ensure an uninterrupted petroleum supply during the National Day holiday on September 2.

According to official document No. 2833/TTTN-XD, petroleum producers, wholesalers, and distributors are required to proactively manage supply, increase reserves, and maintain continuous sales operations. Producers must strictly adhere to production plans registered with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, while wholesalers must fulfill their minimum 2026 supply quotas and quarterly plans.

To prevent shortages, companies are instructed to allocate sufficient personnel and transport vehicles, ensuring flexible distribution to key routes, tourist areas, and major urban gateways. Retailers and franchised stations are directed to maintain operations 24/24 hours or according to their registered schedules. The authorities have strictly prohibited hoarding goods to wait for price increases, reducing sales volumes, or unauthorized suspension of sales.
