Vietnam Party and State Leaders Honor Heroic Martyrs on 79th War Invalids Day

Incumbent and former Vietnamese Party and State leaders gathered at the Monument to Heroic Martyrs on Bac Son Street in Hanoi to pay tribute to fallen soldiers. The delegation, led by Party General Secretary and President To Lam and Prime Minister Le Minh Hung, included National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, Permanent Member of the Party Secretariat Tran Cam Tu, and Front Chair Bui Thi Minh Hoai, as well as former leaders such as Nong Duc Manh and Luong Cuong.

A live televised program “Sao Sang Dan Duong” was simultaneously broadcast from four historic sites – the Heroic Martyrs' Stele in Tuyen Quang, the Hanoi monument, the National Martyrs Cemetery on Highway 9 in Quang Tri, and Le Thi Rieng Park in Ho Chi Minh City. The ceremony featured the presentation of a wreath inscribed “Forever grateful to heroic martyrs,” incense offering, and remarks highlighting the recovery of over one million remains of war martyrs.

The events marked the 79th anniversary of Vietnam’s Day of War Invalids and Martyrs, underscoring the Party’s ongoing commitment to honor those who sacrificed their lives for national independence and freedom.
